Local-first & private
An Ollama model running on this PC keeps ordinary prompts here. Point Ollama at another machine, or pick a model tagged “:cloud” or “-cloud”, and the prompt leaves your PC — on Auto, heavier coding, reasoning and planning turns normally prefer a cloud route, and background helpers can reach the cloud too even when you prefer local routing. The app sends NYX LIMITED no usage tracking, analytics or crash reports, though the update check is on by default. When the sanitizer is on it makes a best-effort attempt to redact secrets from the text bound for a non-local model, which is not the same as covering every kind of traffic.

You're in control
Default is a full-agent mode: eligible low-risk file writes and shell commands can run automatically, while higher-risk ordinary model-issued actions pause for approval. Auto-accept broadens automatic approval and Bypass skips most prompts — each only if you choose it. One bounded trusted flow does not prompt for every command: enabled Auto-verify may run detected or pinned verification wrappers after edits within its documented trust and Sandbox rules. A guided Build flow would work the same way, but it has no entry point in the current free interface. Hard-blocked, high-risk and critical wrappers are refused; project scripts reached through an allowed wrapper are trusted repository code and their bodies are not semantically screened. Outside a Sandbox isolation level, one native Allow for repository-controlled execution covers later repository-controlled commands in that workspace for the rest of the app session, including ones the model issues afterwards; high- and critical-risk commands keep their own confirmation. We reduce risk; we don't pretend to remove it.
